Schanè Anderson started the decorating and retail business in 1993 and opened the first retail and decorating store under the name Damasque Interiors in Cresta. In 1996, Schanè bought a property in Melville, fondly referred to as the “green house” where there was space for the showroom, fabric libraries and on—site workrooms. Irma joined the business there in 1997, and in 2002 became a full partner.
After a couple of years of successful trading and decorating, they decided that it was time for a change and a bit of a make-over. So, in 2003, O là là! Interiors was born and the first O là là! boutique store opened in Featherbrooke Shopping Centre. Within two years, the second O là là! decorating retail boutique store was opened in Northcliff. After years of a very successful partnership, Irma relocated to Knysna, Schanè relocated to KZN, Sarie bought the Northcliff Decorating Business and Suzette bought the Ruimsig Decorating Business.
Currently there are three branches of O là là! Interiors, owned by three amazing and creative women: O là là! Interiors Ruimsig, O là là! Interiors Northcliff & O là là! Interiors Kwa-Zulu Natal.
